Board Members

Tierra A. Jenkins is a Labor Counsel with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA). In her role, Attorney Jenkins administers and interprets the Authority’s various collective bargaining agreements, oversees the contractual grievance process, represents the Authority’s interest at mediation and arbitration hearings, and advises senior management in day-to-day labor law matters.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Attorney Jenkins held several roles at the MBTA over the course of 16 years, each with increasing responsibilities. She was honored for her career accomplishments at the 10th Anniversary Celebration for MassDOT’s Women’s Employee Resource Group and was acknowledged as a leader in public transportation by the MBTA for its International Women’s Day Celebration.

In addition, Attorney Jenkins serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys, is a member of the Board of Directors for Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers (LCL) and also served several terms on the Gala Committee for the Women’s Bar Association. Attorney Jenkins received her J.D. from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth School of Law and her B.A. in English with a minor in Business Administration from Northeastern University. Attorney Jenkins is also a proud member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc.
